It is so fabulous to have the 2010 Olympics in our country. It seems as if everyone is involved in the Olympic spirit. The three mascots of the games are especially fun for the little ones, their names are Sumi, Quatchi and Miga. We will visit the computer lab today and log into these three sites. One will build visual discrimination and fine motor skills. Another will help the kids match the beginning letter of a word with a picture. The third will showcase letter recogniton skills. Should be fun.

We had so much to do on Groundhogs Day.

We learned all about groundhogs and how they pop out of their holes to predict the weather on February 2nd. We also had a Shadow Show and guessed lots of shadows. Our craft was a big hit, the Kindergarten kids loved popping their groundhogs out of their holes.

Will he or won't he?

That is the question! Tomorrow in Kindergarten we will be making predictions and then finding out for sure if we are going to have an early spring or if winter will last even longer. Come on clouds, don't let that groundhog see his shadow and get scared back down into his hole!
