a Kindergarten blog for my students, parents and other Early Childhood Professionals.
This brought me to tears...but most days, lately, that doesn't seem to take much!! :)Thank you for posting it, it is something that really REALLY needs to be heard!!Ages ago I swore that as I kissed my kiddos goodnight I would tell them one thing about them, or that they did that I really loved that day (some days these are easier to come up with than others, to be sure) but I make sure that it always happens. I've always wanted them to go to sleep having the last thing they heard from me, be something positive, and about them. Even living, soaking up every minute...it still goes way too fast.
This is so beautiful. It is so important to savor every moment you have with your children but it really doesn't end when they pack up and leave home. My adult children bring me so much joy and comfort, I enjoy them now as much as I ever did. Children truly are a blessing no matter what stage of life you are in.
