A new school year...
Like each of you, I am a Mom. I ran across this video this morning and it just made me realize again what a huge responsiblity I have to your children. You trust me with them and that is an amazing gift. I understand this because I trust my babies to teachers and pray that they understand the magnitude of their responsiblity. As this school year begins I just want you to know that I take this responsiblity seriously and will nurture your babies like they were my own. Thank you to Heidi Hass Gable for producing this video.

Somehow I missed this in the meeting, not sure if you played it but very very glad I watched it at home. Got me all teary, but I love it, and it's what's needed. Period :)
Yes, I agree...the video just puts everything into perspective. Thanks for commenting.
Hi,
I’m a trainee teacher from Australia and have just visited you website. I just wanted to tell you that I love the video you have on there – being a mother myself to four kids (3 boys and 1 girl), and wanting to become a teacher, your video really sums up the importance of being a good teacher. A teacher that encourages children to learn and ask questions, and to be prepared to learn from your students, and the trust that parents put in you to look after their kids. I’ll be visiting you blog again soon to see how your kindergarten class is going. (I also love the poem you wrote for your ‘out-going- kindy kids, your students must have loved receiving that from you!)
Thanks,
Paulene
